As a rule of thumb if your footwear size is below UK 8 , it maybe best to go for a deck 8.1 and below
People that wear above UK 8 this would be perfect for size 8 - 8.5 inches . As you skate more your style will change and skateboarding has no rules , so if you still wish to go for a size 8.8 , go nuts! However , when starting out , it may be best to stay within this frame.
Wheel sizes
Wheel sizes comes in a various amount of sizes , typically this is to do with the riders preferred style and skating. We've displayed a variety of wheel sizes and hardness in which a wheel can choose from :

Skateboard wheel sizes are generally measured by diameter (in millimeters) and hardness (durometer). Here’s a quick summary:

50-53mm: Small wheels, great for street skating, technical tricks, and smoother surfaces. They provide quicker acceleration but lower top speeds.

54-59mm: Mid-range wheels, ideal for street, park, and transition skating. A versatile size that balances speed and control.

60mm+: Larger wheels, suited for longboards, cruisers, or skateboards designed for rougher terrain and downhill skating. They offer higher speeds and stability but slower acceleration.

Wheel DUROMETER

78A-87A: Softer wheels, perfect for cruising and rough surfaces. They absorb shocks well.

88A-95A: Medium softness, offering more grip but still good for smoother rides.
-
96A-101A: Harder wheels, best for technical tricks, skateparks, and smooth concrete. Higher hardness provides less grip but more speed.
